Hi Josh. My wife’s dad passed last night. He was 97. He was the sort of man that could drive you crazy with his selfishness while at the same time charming and impressing folks around him
We moved him here to Prescott a month ago from Northern California. He didn’t want to leave his home in the Sierra but he had to go into managed care.
It has been a very difficult transition over the last month. He has slipped over to the other shore now. We tell ourselves all sorts of stories about death and dying!
Hey Bill, great to hear from you and I’m sorry for your very recent loss. Great that you two were able to be with him for the past month. Well done for your love and care.
Grateful for stories like this that help us find sense in our world.
Good stuff, Josh. Several years ago, I visited a friend in the hospital. He unexpectedly went to be with the Lord a few days later. At the time, I remember thinking had I known, I would have sat and prayed with him longer. We should cherish every moment because we don’t know what the next day holds.
Been discussing this very thing this week Josh
Dang Gina
Timely.
Much love Kirk.
Damn this was a hammer
